How do I apply?
You must first submit a FAFSA online. We will determine your eligibility for federal work study when we process your FAFSA. If you are not eligible for federal funding, your option will be state work study. It is your responsibility to locate an open position. If you find a position that you wish to apply for, you will need to come to our office to pick up a work authorization form.
How do I find a job?
Most departments will post open positions on bulletin boards across campus. You should also check out the online job listing. You may contact Career Services at 580-581-2209 if you have questions about the online job listing. If there is a department where you would like to work you may want to stop by that area and inquire. It may be a good idea to leave a resume of your past work experience.
How much will I earn and how do I get paid?
As stated above, current pay is $7.25 per hour. You will be authorized to earn a certain amount depending on your eligibility and the department's budget. You can work up to 20 hours a week and you will keep a timesheet. Payroll is run on the first of each month and pay checks are issued around the 10th of each month. You will pick up your check at the Cameron Cashier in the Administration Building. If you owe any tuition or room and board, they will ask you to pay a portion towards these costs.
