Transfer Students and Financial Assistance

It is important to begin the financial aid process as soon as possible! If you have received any type of financial aid at your previous institution during the current academic year, the procedure is slightly different. If you fall into this category, read on to find out what you need to do.
I have applied for Financial Assistance at another university this year
If you have already filed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid for this academic year, and have not submitted it to Cameron, please complete the following steps:
- Apply for admission to Cameron University if you have not already done so.
- Add Cameron's college code (003150) to your FAFSA and resubmit electronically. We will process your FAFSA to determine your eligibility for aid at Cameron.
- Contact the financial aid office immediately at your prior school to have them cancel all aid including loans they have pending for you.
I have not applied for Financial Assistance this year
If you have not applied for financial assistance this academic year you need to complete the following steps:
- Apply for admission to Cameron University if you have not already done so.
- Complete the FAFSA. Cameron's college code is 003150. This process may take 4-6 weeks.
