Jo Ann Quaid Memorial Scholarship

The Jo Ann Quaid Memorial Scholarship, sponsored by the Cameron Administrative Professionals (CAPs) has been established to reward full-time, permanent classified staff members seeking to complete a degree at Cameron University. The award will apply for the semester in which the student seeks assistance. The award shall be limited to $200.00 per semester.
Application deadlines and procedures: Deadline for the Fall semester is July 1; deadline for the Spring semester is November 1. Application forms and detailed criteria may be obtained from the office of Financial Assistance, Cameron University, 2800 West Gore, Lawton, OK 73505 and should be returned to that office when completed.
The applications will be reviewed by the CAPs Scholarship Committee. CAPs will make the official award notification.
- Applicant must be a full-time, permanent classified staff member of Cameron University.
- Applicant must have been enrolled at Cameron for at least one semester prior to the
semester in which the scholarship is to be awarded.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a required general education course leading to a degree,
enrolled in a course in the major field of study, or a course having specific job application.
- If the recipient drops the class during the semester he/she will not be eligible for funds
the next semester.
- Cumulative grade point must be 2.75 or higher at the time of application and during the
term of the award. Should a recipient's cumulative grade point drop below a 2.75, eligibility for funds will be discontinued.
- CAPs is seeking applicants who demonstrate academic achievement and leadership qualities on the Cameron campus.
- Fall recipients need not apply for spring funding. It is automatic as long as the recipient is enrolled, maintains a 2.75 GPA, and conforms to all other criteria.
- The recipient will be required to sign a release allowing the scholarship administrators to
monitor the applicant's current GPA. This release is intended to facilitate the application
process by eliminating the need for an official transcript.
