Specific criteria for each scholarship are listed on the appropriate application form. English and English Education Awards
Jessie Mae Hines Language Arts Scholarship
Available to English and English Education majors. To qualify, students must have completed 90 hours and have an overall GPA of 3.0 with a GPA of 3.5 in the major. Lawton Shakespeare Club English Scholarship
Conceived in 1990 by an endowment from the Lawton Shakespeare Club, this scholarship is available to English Education majors at Cameron. To qualify, students must be sophomores or above and have an overall GPA of 3.0 with a GPA of 3.5 in the major. Valree Fletcher Wynn Scholarship
This scholarship is available to incoming freshmen. To qualify, students must be Oklahoma residents who have a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate evidence of leadership ability. Preference is given to students who are economically disadvantaged or members of underrepresented groups. Tuition Waivers

Matt Haag Scholarship

Established by Professor Emeritus Leigh Holmes, this prize awards $??? to a single creative nonfiction student essay. March deadline.
