School of Education & Behavioral Sciences
Message from the Dean
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Cameron University’s School of Education and Behavioral Sciences. The University is currently in transition with the recent appointment of former Dean Ronna Vanderslice to the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the University begins the process to identify a permanent Dean of the School, I have been designated to serve as interim Dean through the 2013-14 academic year.
Our School offers a wide array of undergraduate and graduate programs in the professional fields of education, psychology, and physical education. We would welcome an inquiry from you regarding any of these fields of study.
Cameron University is a dynamic public university. We are a student-centered campus committed to excellence. Our programs are accessible to students with a broad range of needs and interests. We offer classes in traditional, weekend, online, and online hybrid settings to meet student scheduling needs.
Our School faculty is recognized as an outstanding group of professional educators in both academic, professional, and community settings. We are continually impressed with the compassion, dedication, and skill each brings to our School. We are firmly committed to helping our students develop the talents and skills necessary to make a meaningful contribution to the professional world.
Our students find themselves taking leadership roles by participation in various student organizations including Student Oklahoma Education Association, Cameron Council for Exceptional Children, Pi Lambda Theta, Psi Chi, a National Honor Society for Psychology, and the Health & Physical Recreation Club.
The faculty and staff of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences join me in extending an invitation to you to consider Cameron for your undergraduate or graduate educational needs. Please feel free to contact me or the chair of any department if you have questions about our school. We would be delighted to see you at Cameron and look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
Howard Kuchta, Ed.D.
