School of Education & Behavioral Sciences
Message from the Dean
Welcome to Cameron University’s School of Education and Behavioral Sciences. I was recently named Dean of the School and am eager to build on its many successes. I was drawn here because of the explicit commitment to diversity and working collaboratively with local schools, local agencies, children and families, tribal communities, and the military to ensure all people develop to their fullest potential. With its unique location in southwest Oklahoma, home to Fort Sill Military Base, Lawton is a diverse community rich with opportunities for you to explore!
We take very seriously our commitment to you. When you join the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences, you will be welcomed and supported as part of our community of learners. Faculty advisors will work closely with you to ensure that the courses and future employment opportunities align with your individual goals.
Explore the many innovative ways we prepare students to make meaningful impact in the fields of teacher education, educational leadership, psychology, counseling, marriage and family, sport fitness and management, early childhood, special education, and more. Our programs have successfully helped form a professional workforce throughout Oklahoma and beyond. Please do not hesitate to reach out to one or more of our faculty to get your questions answered, or better yet, visit us in person.
Thank you for your interest in Cameron’s School of Education and Behavioral Sciences. The faculty and staff of the School of Education and Behavioral Sciences and I look forward to working together to create new possibilities for you, the School, and the communities and people we serve.
Lisa F. Huffman, Ph.D.
