Cameron University seeks volunteers for Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service

Link Description

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?’” In answer to that query, volunteers from Cameron University and the Lawton-Fort Sill community will participate in the national Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 18, 2016. CU officials are hoping to recruit over 400 volunteers for the event. To volunteer, register online at www.cameron.edu/mlkcelebration/dayofservice or call the Office of Student Activities at (580) 581-2217. The volunteers will work on community projects from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Additionally, the volunteer effort will include a supply drive on Saturday, January 16th. Donation boxes and supply wish lists will be available at WalMart on Quanah Parker, Country Mart on Lee, and Sam’s Club on Sheridan.
