Cameron students benefit annually from the generosity of many benefactors who have established endowed scholarships over a number of years. These scholarships are of enormous assistance to the recipients and are of great value to the University in recruiting quality students.
In addition to these endowed scholarships, which are held by the Cameron University Foundation, Inc., Cameron receives several other scholarships from outside the University. These include the McMahon Scholars from the McMahon Foundation, the McCasland Scholars from the McCasland Foundation and the Helen Holliday Scholarships from the Helen Holliday Foundation.
Clothide Fulbright Crawford Scholarship Established by Joseph C. and Lucille N. Crawford in November 1976 for home economic students with any excess to be used for purchasing instructional material or equipment.
Language Arts Scholarship
Established by the Language Arts Department and Jessie May Hines Language Arts Committee in September 1978 for the use and benefit of students in the field of language arts. Floyd J. Freeman Scholarship
Established in December 1978 for the use and benefit of full-time students. James R. and Irene J. Lawrence Memorial Endowment Trust Scholarship
Established in November 1979 for outstanding junior or senior business administration students and to recruit outstanding high school students. Ewell B. Lacy Scholarship
Established by Mr. and Mrs. Ewell B. Lacy in December 1980 for the use and benefit of full-time students. Beth Ann Smith Scholarship
Established in December 1982 for students engaged in the study of biology.
Vinola D. Scott Educational Trust Fund Scholarship
Established in 1983 to benefit students with Financial need.
Cleo Brittain Watson Endowed Scholarship
Established in November 1983 to be used for scholarships for Pre-Nursing students.
Helen Holliday Scholarship
Established by the Helen Holliday Trust to provide scholarships for full time students.
Thomas C. Brown Scholarship

Established in February 2007 to benefit deserving full-time students. The scholarship is awarded to a freshman or sophomore student enrolled in Military Science I or II who exhibits leadership, extra-curricular involvement and maintains a 3.0 minimum GPA.
Willy Flores, Jr. Endowed Scholarship in Agriculture
Established in April 2007 in memory of Flores who was killed while fighting in Iraq. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving student enrolled as an agriculture major. Anne Morris Endowed Memorial Scholarship in Pre-Nursing
Established in May 2007 through the generosity of Morris' family, the scholarship provides financial assistance to a full-time pre-nursing student with at least a 3.0 grade point average who demonstrates campus involvement and financial need. Nancy Edith Hale Endowed Scholarship

Doris Aycock Endowed Scholarship in Pre-Nursing
Established in June 2007 by Dr. Byron Aycock in memory of his wife, Doris. The scholarship is awarded to both part-time and full-time Cameron University students enrolled as pre-nursing majors.
Bernice Pittman Moss Endowed Scholarship in Teacher Education
Established in July 2007 to benefit an education major who is a junior or higher in classification.
Craig Foundation Endowed Scholarship Established in September 2007 by The Craig Foundation to benefit an agriculture major who is enrolled full-time and is a sophomore or higher in classification.
Charles Shelly Graybill, M.D, Endowed Scholarship in Pre-Medicine StudiesEstablished in September 2007 by Dr. Charles and Betty Graybill to benefit deserving full-time students who are pursuing a course of study leading to acceptance into medical school. The scholarship is awarded to students who are sophomores or higher who has at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average.
Herbert S. Orr, M.D. Endowed ScholarshipEstablished in December 2007 in appreciation of the leadership of Dr. Orr. The scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student who is a sophomore or higher in classification and has at least a 3.0 grade point average.
Richard J. Allgood, M.D. Endowed Scholarship in Pre-Medicine Studies Established in April 2008 in recognition of Dr. Richard Allgood's 35 years of service to the Lawton community. Colleagues and friends raised funds to create this endowed scholarship in honor of the surgeon, who retired in December 2007. The scholarship is awarded to full-time Cameron University students pursuing a course of studies leading to acceptance at an accredited medical school.
Todd and Cindy Sanner Endowed Scholarship in Science and TechnologyEstablished in June 2008 by CU alumni Todd and Cindy Sanner, this scholarship assists deserving students who are pursuing a course of studies in science and technology. Recipients must be a second semester freshman or higher in classification earning a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
