Alpha Phi Sigma is the nationally recognized honor society for students in the criminal justice sciences.
The society recognizes academic excellence by undergraduates as well as graduate students of criminal justice.
To become a member, the student must have completed one-third of their total hours required for graduation. The student must also be recommended by the chapter advisor.
Students must maintain a minimum of 3.2 overall GPA and a 3.2 GPA in criminal justice courses. The student must also rank in the top 35% of their classes and have completed a minimum of twelve hours within the criminal justice curriculum. The Honor Society is open to those with a declared criminal justice major or minor.
There is a $40.00 membership fee to the national and a $10.00 due to the local chapter. Total of $50.00 for a membership.

Members of Alpha Phi Sigma participate in the academic convocation ceremony held in the Fall semester each year.

The above students were honored at the Academic Convocation Fall 2003.
At graduation, Alpha Phi Sigma members are allowed to wear the academic regalia indication that they are a member of the society.
