Who is eligible to earn vacation and sick leave?

     

  • Regular full time classified and professional employees earn vacation and sick leave.

    •  

     

  • Regular full time faculty employees earn sick leave.

    •  

When can sick leave be used?

     

  • Hours eligible for use in current month is balance of earned unused hours at the end of preceding month.

    •  

When can vacation leave be used?

     

  • New employees: after first month of employment.

    •  

     

  • Hours eligible for use in the current month is the balance of earned unused hours at the end of the preceding month.

    •  

 How many vacation leave hours can be carried over to next fiscal year?

     

  • Classified employee: one year earned hours.

    •  

     

  • Professional employee: two years' earned hours.

    •  

What is the maximum number of vacation leave hours eligible to be paid upon termination of employment?

     

  • Classified employee: balance of unused hours up to a maximum of one year's earned hours.

    •  

     

  • Professional employee: balance of unused hours up to a maximum of two years' earned hours.

    •
