Current Business Graduate Students
Below are answers to some common questions from our MBA and MSOL students as well as general information about different aspects of the programs from enrollment through graduation! Should you need additional assistance, please contact the Graduate Coordinator's office.
Dates and Deadlines
For important dates and deadlines for the university and for Cameron courses, check the Academic Calendar.
Details about Cameron's policies, procedures, and programs can be found in the Graduate Catalog.
Advising and Enrolling
For advising and enrollment each semester, you will work with the graduate coordinator. If you need help selecting your courses, you will schedule an appointment or phone call. Once you know what courses you would like to take, send your class choices (including CRN number), your name, and student ID number and any questions to the graduate coordinator. Without each of these pieces of information, our office may be unable to assist you in a timely manner.
Our current course offerings are available online. Please review these before requesting to be enrolled.
If you wish to take online classes, you must be enrolled in them at least three weeks prior to the start of classes.
Our graduate courses fill very quickly. It is in your best interest to enroll early in the enrollment period; this will help to ensure you get a seat in your desired courses. Do not delay your enrollment!
Our course offerings are available for the upcoming semester. For planning purposes, you can check offerings from prior years to see what is traditionally offered in a given semester.
Information on Financial Assistance is available on Cameron's Financial Assistance page.
Cameron's online courses are typically administered through Blackboard. Once your Blackboard account is set up, you should log in and complete the “Blackboard Preparation for Students” tutorial before classes begin. Courses are available for student access no later than the first day of class.
Each online course will require proctored exams. Students living within 30 miles of Lawton or Duncan, Oklahoma, will test at a CU Testing Facility. Students outside of that area will be responsible for finding a proctor in their area. For details, visit the CU Testing Center page.
More information on our online courses can be found on Cameron’s Online Programs page.
There are a limited number of graduate Scholarships available through Cameron University and the CU Foundation. To apply or to learn more about those opportunities, visit the Financial Assistance scholarship page.
Comprehensive Exams & Outcomes Assessment
The comprehensive exams for the MBA and MSOL programs are in the process of being phased out as a graduation requirement. Students impacted by this change have received communication specific to their situation. For questions, please contact the office of the graduate coordinator.
All MBA students are still required to participate in an outcomes assessment in their final semester of coursework.
Degree Completion Requirements
To complete the MBA or MSOL, students must meet all requirements within a six-year time frame. In addition to the course requirements and comprehensive exams, students must also apply for graduation, pay the graduation fee, and complete an online exit interview.
