Mission Statement, Bachelor of Arts Degree Program
The mission of the Bachelor of Arts degree program in Art is to prepare students for entry into a number of art related professions or endeavors. This 48 credit hour program has a broad, yet organized curriculum including both Art History and studio classes. Also inherent in this mission is the obligation by the University to provide qualified faculty, as well as an appropriate environment and tools to develop the potential of each program participant.
Mission Statement, Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree Program
The mission of the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program in Art is to prepare students for entry into graduate school or a number of art related professions or endeavors by providing learning opportunities that lead to the completion of a specialized curriculum in one of several studio disciplines. At Cameron, the B.F.A. is a 70 credit hour degree program and is awarded with a concentration either in Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, and the concentration in Graphic Design.
Also inherent in this mission is the obligation by the University to provide qualified faculty as well as an appropriate environment and tools to develop the potential of each program participant.
The Art Department has specific admission requirements and performance standards that must be met before admittance into the B.F.A. program.
