Alvin "Buck" Clements


Buck and Irene ClementsBuck Clements was born in 1918 at Corum and received an associate degree in agriculture from Cameron in 1938. He earned a bachelors degree in agronomy with social science option from Oklahoma State University in 1940, and after graduation, worked as a soil scientist for the soil conservation service. In 1941, he married Irene Zachry Clements, a 1939 Cameron graduate. After serving in the Navy from 1942-45, he returned to the Soil Conservation Service where he worked until 1976, retiring with 35 years of service. During his career, he established the first district conservation office in Medford; received the Department of Agriculture
