Dr. Shelton:

  I graduated from Cameron in 1979 and married Tammy Saltus who was also in Alpha Gamma Delta.  I am back at Cameron now and you are right, there are lots of changes.

  Hopefully, before your next wedding anniversary you will get a chance to come back to Cameron University.  I think you will be very pleased with the changes, progress and plans for the future

Albert - a long time what are you doing at Cameron?  Sue asked me to ask - what happened to AGD?  It doesn't seem to be around anymore. 

We are living in Saudi Arabia working for the government here, Sue is teaching young Saudi women who have full scholarships to US, England and Canadian Universities, they spend a year in a prep-academy here before going.

What are you guys up to?

We were cub scouts together and then all the way through Cameon, student govt and IFC.  I was in Lawton apparently the same week as you and Sue.  Would love to have seen you.  I drove by you old house up on Lincoln, as my parents still live only a block away.

I lost touch with you after I think you were in Korea and then at The Old Guard????

Look up my parents sometime when in Lawton, as they knew both your and Sue's parents.  Get my number from them and call.

I miss the football also, and came onto this site looking at the Basketball schedule for this year.  There isn't much left for many of us in Lawton, so I try to get to a game or something now and then.

Seems lots has changed at Cameron, with new facilities, etc.

Marty what a thrill to hear from you - I'm sorry I haven't responded, I popped on the board and haven't looked at it until now.  I have tons of photos repelling, hiking etc - we talk about you all the time.  We recently moved to Saudi Arabia - working for the Saudi government building leadership teams and Sue is teaching at a local University preparing Saudi Women for schools in the US.  My email is shelton.acla@yahoo.com drop a line.

Hi Marty & Ed,

I was in the Student Senate, too, along with you both.  I remember going to Quartz Mtn and Ed asked the one big question of all of us around the table--"If our house were on fire, what is the one thing we would take with us?"  I said, "My typewriter," which at the time was invaluable to help me make ends meet at Cameron.

OIL really stuck with me.  In 1999 I was the State Leader for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and rallied 400 advocates talking to our congressman at townmeetings to Washington DC...three years of going strong to get a cure for our youngest diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes when 7 years old.  Then cancer hit me and I got up to coach little league for a few years. 

Last summer I became Contact person between my neighborhood and police department for our Neighborhood Watch, I just finish building our website at www.neighborhoodlink.com/yukon/vee

Been married 25 years to a CPA, Computer Analyst..got 2 great daughters both at OU...one getting her masters in Chemical Engineering, the other a freshman going for masters in English.

You, two, will never know how much you impacted my life back then!  You helped me get my voice! Thank you!!!

Hi Cheryl,  I do recall Quartz Mountain, it was a great time, you may remember Sue Keitges, she attended and we married after graduation. Several years ago, I learned that it had burned down years before.  You know student government, the clubs and all the great friends we had was a very formative period for all of us, I think that to some extent we were all very simple but eager and I know that I grew so much because of the friends there.  I would say the same thing about our relationship and Martys and everyone involved with Student Government, we all blossomed and grew.  I feel very fortunate to have had those experiences and am happy that you dropped a note.
