In order to be a member of Alpha Kappa Delta students must currently be a junior or senior, have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0, and must have completed at least 12 hours of Sociology courses with a grade point average of 3.0.  Membership dues include a one-time fee of $40.  This includes a free one-year subscription to the journal Sociological Inquiry.
